Assignments and Announcements for Monday, 9/12

Welcome to a new week, everyone! May God continue to bless our studies and give us the willingness to do our best.

Assignments:

Christ Light - We studied how Abram showed his faith in God, Ws. 4a
Memory Work - All New Testament Books
Catechism - Ws. 4, ask you student about this! We have had too many students "forget"
Math - The students worked in groups on Investigation 1 on survey, charts, and histograms, No Assignment for Tuesday other than to be ready for the test!
English - We learned about topics and supporting/nonsupporting sentences, Ws. 8
Literature - We read the poem, "Painted the Gate," by May Swenson, discussed imagery and rhyming patters, No Assignment
Music/Art - No Assignment, students have been working on Origami
Science - We began our study on volcanoes, No Assignment
History - Introduced our lesson on Babylon and Assyria, students are supposed to find out how Babylon rose to power, what the "Code of Hammurabi" is, and what style of warfare Assyria had, Read Lesson 3, take notes, Wb. 21
Spelling - List 2, short and long e vowels, Worksheets in booklet are due on Friday

Announcements:

1. Students should have softball/baseball gloves at school by Wednesday. If possible, please write their name on the glove so we don't get them mixed up.

2. The spelling website is up and running! To start, click on "Spelling Website" to the right. Login username: mvlau, password: brewers. Click on the list you'd like to take a test or play a game on (our current week is List 2).

3. Student Pictures are on Wednesday!
