On Friday afternoon, the 6th graders will be doing a little Arbor Day here at school. I have signed us up to help clean the entire nave of the church (where we sit). This includes a lot of dusting, vacuuming, and scrubbing. If there is time, we will go outside and pick up sticks, wood chips, and other Arbor Day type items. If you are available and would like to help us, please come around 1 pm on Friday. We will be finished by 3:30 pm. Please send rags and buckets along on Friday morning.Thank you!

Welcome back! I hope that everyone had as great of a break as I did...sleeping in, relaxing, enjoying family...so  blessed!  This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week so I'll be asking the kids to do a few activities. 1st one is tonight - talk about what your family plan is if there is a tornado. The final Brewer note came home today. Ride assignments should be finalized by tomorrow. Please remind your students that this is just the car ride and chances are, they won't be with all their friends given the fact that we had to put 125 people in 21 cars. A note about the Academic Fair also came today with students who were chosen. Tuition statements also came home. (Sorry for breaking our "Thursday Notes" rule but a lot of things creeping up right after break!)

Our classmate, NJ, is gone for 2 weeks to Germany. He will be updating us through Google docs about his adventures...we look forward to hearing from him! 1st installment:

I wanted me to write you all a quick note before we leave. We are walking out the door in about half an hour,  We leave the Sturtevant bus stop at 0930 am, leave Chicago at about 1230 pm, leave Detroit at 5:30 pm, and will arrive in Frankfurt at 8:30 am (their time) on Wednesday morning, April 4th. We have a long day and night ahead of us! There will be a lot of waiting.
