Friday Greetings!

A few things to take note of as we wrap up this week:

Class Singing - We will be singing in church on September 23rd at the early (8 am) service.  Children should bring a note to school if, because of a scheduling conflict, they are unable to attend. We will be singing Hymn 771 - I want to Walk as a Child of the Light.

Typing Program - The students received their username and passwords this week. The link to the program is on the right hand side of this blog post. Students are allowed to work on it from home but are doing at least two lessons each day. I am also working on developing a simple computer curriculum to help the children learn more about computers and using them in a POSITIVE way.

Book Order - Thank you for placing an order this month! I was able to get lots of free books with bonus points that will be enjoyed by all. Orders are expected to arrive next week. We will skip October because of the Book Fair. Look for the next order in November.

Room Parent - Volunteer sheets went home yesterday, please return!

Progress Reports - You will find the first progress report NEXT WEEK. They will then come home daily until the week before the quarter ends. These will need to be signed and returned the next day.

Social Studies Fair - This is in NOVEMBER this year. More information to come home next week!

Mission Offering Update - We collected $27.23 this week for a classroom total of $49.97. Wow...thank you! Continue to pray for the Mission to the Children in Mexico.

Homework:

(On Fridays, I like to try and keep the homework load light so that students are truly able to relax over the weekend and come back to school on Monday refreshed and ready to work hard)

Christ Light - We did have a lesson today...Ws. 3b for Monday. (Students...what are you supposed to tell your parents?!)
Catechism - Ws. 4 "With Your Family"
Math - We took a test today...no assignment
Science - We did an experiment today. Ask your student to explain our findings!
World History - Ws. 13 and 16 on map projections and Lesson 3 (Students are getting very good at taking notes in an outline format...I am really impressed!)

WoD: rain

Have a very blessed weekend and....

GO PACK GO!

Miss Lau
